Hello all

Look at thie video, a nice takeoff of an air berlin aircraft in Zurich.
However, I always thought that all Air Berlin planes have registration D-XXXX? And this plane is EC-XXXX? Anyone know why?
Thanks

It's an ex-Iberworld Airbus. Air Berlin leased it from Iberworld (please someone correct me if I am wrong) and haven't changed (won't change  Confused) the registration yet. See;

This is one leased A320 AB used before they got their own A320s, so it has a spanish reg. I don't know if it is still in the fleet, but I would guess so...

Undoubtedly a leased aircraft. For years Southwestern flew a couple 737's with Irish registration, although they flew up and down the West Coast and were painted to match the airline. That was several years ago. I remember seeing them at SJC.

I can't see the viseo (I'm on dial-up connection) but there was one AB colored A-320 EC-HZU around last year, but it has left the fleet.
