Has anybody flown this airline? I think they used to be called Suckling Airways.

A friend of mine is flying from London city to Dundee with Scot Airways. So, I wondered if you guys could tell me how the service is.

Also, has anybody flown from/to or visited Dundee Airport?

Appreciate any info'

Have a look for information at;

I know Dundee Airport is a small, very quiet airport and that Scot Airways are the only scheduled operator, previously Business Air were the only scheduled operator.

Thankyou, James.

You're right about Dundee Airport. The only transport into Dundee is taxi or car rental. You could walk of course. Apparently it only takes about five minutes to get to the main raod (buses)

I'd love to be going on this flight. My friend has strict instuctions to gather as much info' as possible. She doesn't know (or care) much about aviation. But, she agreed anyway.

Thanks again, James.

I went to Dundee airport about seven years ago when I was visiting my friend. We walked from the Uni which didn't take too long. That was when Business Air was there (whatever happened to them? Anyone know?) There were quite a lot of light aircraft. I got a few funny looks - I don't think they get many spotters there! The terminal building was like a portacabin thing but I don't know if it has been upgraded or anything.

Business Air are still around, but you won't see any of their aircraft! They were bought by BM and now fly as British Midland Commuter. They don't fly to Dundee any more. Their main work is Manchester-Aberdeen/Edinburgh/Glasgow flights with ERJ-145s, the Saab 340s are used on routes like Leeds-Glasgow, and the ERJ-145s also operate some routes like Birmingham-Brussels and Glasgow-Paris. They also now have 3 BAe146-200s which operate in basic Lufthansa livery on routes out of Munich to places like Manchester and Birmingham. Just a little snapshot of what BMC are up to!

From what I´ve heard ScotAirways is in the market to buy new aircraft, it is rumoured that they will place an order for 2 Dornier 328 Turboprop and 10 328JET to supplement their current Do328 fleet. If anyone has heard something new please say so.
