That if you look at a user profile or all the threads displayed that each line alternates with light/dark blue?
Looks suspiciously similar to the tail livery of United.....

AIRLINERS.NET CREW SITE ADMIN
Well, could you tell me what colors I should have chosen that would not look similar to at least one airline paint scheme out there? Pink and orange?
There's no aliens at Area 51, Elvis is dead and these shades of blue where chosen because it looks good and not because I'm an undercover diehard United fan.
In the future, please post observations like these in the non-aviation forum.
Thanks,
Johan
Working on the site from morning 'till night that's livin' alright (1997-2007)

Whippy, while your post may or may not have been intended in jest, it's out fo place here. That's what Non-Aviation's for.
Airbpman- Johan has always cared about the posts in the forums. If you had the spare time on your hands that I did and saw the number of posts deleted per day because they are off-topic, intended to start wars, or just downright stupid, you would gain a new respect for what Johan's doing here. I'll, unfortunately, lose the free time when school starts again on Tuesday, but I intend to check this site daily and remain active in the discussions. You should think a bit more before you post something like that, Airbpman. I haven't exactly seen you trying to keep up the quality of the forums...

i'll address each comment.
1) I currently run 3 message boards, that generate as much traffic. I constantly delete irrelevant posts. I ban users that insult, degrade, or in no way contribute to the forum. However, I do not discriminate. If i don't agree with something, my moderator ststus does not give me just cause to delete one post over another.
2) sorry to here you're going
3) Obviously, you know who I am (was), and that I have always tried to keep this a respectable place, and have posted relevant topics, and subsequently banned for standing up for what several others wanted to do. I just went ahead and made it plain and clear the situation, and Johan banned my username.

Democracy does not apply in a message board. Johan has the last say on anything and everything that goes on around here. And he does a great job at it too. You just have to learn to play the game.

I've got a suggestion -- now that we've got different tones of blue, why not change it to green? At least this color scheme has been around for quite a while. We are not an airline, just airliners.net. A website needs refurbishment once every year, in my opinion.

Besides, if it really was United then the posts certainly wouldn't show up on time!

I don't think Johan will start charging us $1,500 for a "walk up post".

I certainly don't mind the colors and do not suspect foul play. However, I have tried to post a new question three times now (always the same one) and have never seen it. Somebody out there in administration just does not want me to ask for comments on Convair 880 and 990 travel in the old days. Why?
