Just heard on the radio news that a DL Boeing 767 (must be -300ER) has had an emergency landing at BRU this morning. According to the report, all the fire brigade was out due ot mechanical issue but everything seems to have turned out fine.

There are two daily flights by DL @ BRU. One bound from ATL and one bound from JFK. It is not know which flight nor ship was involved. It is not known if the flight returned to BRU after takeoff or if it was on its original voyage from the US.

Official thread for further details.

Newspaper "De Standaard" reports that the affected flight was DUS-ATL.

Delta as a huge maintenance departement in Brussels. Apart from the 2 daily DL flights, DL maintenance is also looking after CO's daily flight and SIA's 15 weekly 744F flights.

Any news on where the oil loss happened, i.e. what part of the route?
