With NZ planning it's new AKL-HKG-LHR which translates into a carrier offering the possibility to fly around-the-world on its wings (AKL-LAX-LHR/LHR-HKG-AKL); some on this website have stated that it is the only current "round-the-world" offer, even if the aircraft will likely not actually go round the world and if the flight numbers are different.
However, I think one can consider SQ's existing SIN-FRA-NYC/NYC-SIN as a similar round-the-world service. They don't even land at the same NYC airports but so what. I guess the routing of both flights is quite different. Doesn't SQ's SIN-EWR fly over the Pacific on one of the legs?
This led me to wonder if there is any other such possibility offered by any other carrier around. I believe not. Thanks for your input.
