EK will upgrade from an A330 to A343 on the 4 weekly DXB-ACC-ABJ and 3 weekly DXB-ACC.
Many people fly from ACC with EK to Asia, Europe and surprisingly JFK!!
This will go effective from 1st december 2006

Have you seen the fares EK offers between the US East Coast and Africa? If I had lots of time on my hands, I would do it too for the low fare. But then again, every time I make such decisions (frugal/airline fanaticism), I end up regretting it at some point during the trip.

At any rate, Addis Ababa/Entebbe is also being switched from an A330 to A343, taking effect this summer.

A332, 3 class on EK is 237 seats.

A343, 3 class on EK is 267 seats.

Therefore, the difference in capacity is 30 seats.

EK even offers low fares between south africa and the US of A. At least EK no longer uses that washing machine (A343) to JNB.

IS it just me or has anyone else noticed that ek parks aircraft coming from europe at the gate but aircraft coming from africa at a remore stand ? and the 'third world' always seems to be getting the old 343's...
