Last Sunday I was at IAD for a bit spotting, I noticed a colorful 767 which I have never seen before, eventually, after I browsed the A.net database, I found out that it was an airline called Maxjet:
Has anyone more information about their loads? Are they popular among American and British travelers? Has anyone already flown on them? If yes, what do you think?

I flew Maxjet from IAD on April 5 to STN. I had to take a short trip from college to go see my grandparents who live in England. I thought their service was good. The flight attendents were friendly but the IFE was lacking a bit. There are no PTV's but instead they give a digEplayer (or whatever those are called). There was enough stuff on that though to keep me entertained for the seven or so hours. The seats are ok. They are not lie flat and they are a tiny bit hard. But the big seller for me was the price. It was about $2,000 less than both VS and BA so I took the opportunity to try it. I think there was about 100 (give or take) seats on the aircraft so it felt much roomier than a typical 762. The food is good. I really have no qualms about it. It was nice, but the service wasn't as personal as VS Upper Class. So next time I will probably pay the extra and take either BA or VS, I need oneworld miles.

I would say maybe 70-75%...but that is a pure guess, as I really wasn't paying too much attention. It was the second day of service though, so I don't know if that might be a lurking variable.

Hey SanDiegoFlyer, how full was the a/c? There was a thread a few days ago about another LCC starting up to do the transatlantic flights ontop of EOS and MaxJet and I was wondering...is the additional capacity even needed? Based on some stats that another a.netter gave in the thread (I have to look for it), it seems that between EOS and MaxJet, less than 50% of the ASMs were filled with customers.

SanDiegoFlyer,
Thanks for the information! I also saw that they have pretty low fares for all-Business Class. I just looked for random dates in May and the one-way flight was a little bit lower than 500 GBP which is not bad in my opinion. Sounds like a good price/preformance ratio to me.

I mean for me STN is not exactly a desirable airport to fly into, but it was a breeze to clear customs and all that (much faster than it would have been at LHR). I will probably now just bite the bullet and pay the extra to fly into LHR.

Yeah I heard that too about a new start up trying to compete with them. Anyone who knows more info?

Could this be what you refer to? I found this today on a daily e-news I get, called TravelMole. (www.travelmole.com)
"A start-up low cost business class airline plans its first route from Luton to Newark.
Silverjet is the brainchild of chief executive Lawrence Hunt, who has been involved in a number of travel companies.
He intends raising £25 million from UK institutional investors to finance the airline through a listing on the Alternative Investment Market next month.
Silverjet's fares using 100-seat Boeing 767s will average at £999 return to Newark, significantly undercutting traditional carriers' business fares to New York.
The newcomer plans to start services six to nine months after its listing on Aim and will comepete against other transatlantic newcomers Eos and MaxJet, which operate from Stansted.
Silverjet plans a fleet of 10 aircraft in three years, providing flat beds for passengers.
Hunt, former CEO of Rapid Travel Solutions and a non-executive director of lowcostbeds.com, said: "Bigger companies make most if not all thie profit from premium customers and lose money in economy."
Other members of the managemnent team include chairman Peter Owen, who spent more than 20 years with British Airways, finance director John Bavister, formerly with Thomas Cook, and operations director Peter Evans, previously with Virgin Atlantic. "
