From july 1st-16th i vacationed in france, and flew TWA 767-205ER N650TW both ways, JFK-CDG and CDG-JFK. I was a little suprised that N650TW did not have air nozzles. Has anyone else flown TWAs 767s and could tell me what they are like? And anyone who has flown N650TW, please share your opinoins! Even though I love the 767, I have to say this plane was one of the worst 767s ive been on. 2 out of the 4 lavs were jammed, and the seats were terrible, legroom included. Well i guess i cant expect luxury out of one of the first 767s made, but from what I saw I cant blame the plane, I can only blame TWA. But I was sure glad to be flying a 767!

I know the 767-300s are nicer, being that they are newer. I am not saying that the aircraft I flew has horrible, just that I expected more out of a 767, and TWAs new image in that matter.

I flew a TWA 767-200 in 1988 from JFK to Geneva. The flight was fine, as I recall (except for the 3 hour delay on departure, which at the time was normal for all TWA flights going to Europe and the Middle East from JFK, thanks to TWA's poor route network at the time and its heavy reliance on feed into JFK from a marginal route network, to fill 747's, L1011's, and 767's across the Atlantic.

I would imagine the 762's are dated today and the interiors pretty basic, at best. But, TWA is adding the 763's, which for TWA is a terrific airplane and I bet the airline will use these -300's on some of its remaining European routes from JFK as demand increases. Paris and Milan are well suited for -300 operations by TWA.

I flew on a TWA 7672 from JFK to MAD and back in March, 1998. Although the plane lacked PTVs (in coach) and was very basic, the seat, I though was very comfortable, being both wide and having significant leg room. It even had a footrest, which came out the seat in front of it. I don't know if I was imagining it, but it was the msot comfortable coach flight I had taken in terms of the seats (beating out Virgin and British Airways).

Could i ahve been on some kind of special plane?
