After spending some time for updates I can present the latest version of my "Global PTV List", including AVOD (Audio/Video-on-Demand) and Live TV features. Internet access is not included because I have limited my research to inflight options which are accessible with a PTV - not via notebook.
For all new members: this thread is exclusively about inflight entertainment options in Economy class, not Business and First.
Listing a complex load of data requires shortcuts and symbols, so please read the following instructions carefully in order to perceive all details given in the list:
all listed aircraft types without further notice or symbols have standard PTVs on board
* = parts of fleet equipped with standard PTVs, or installation in process
A = PTV with AVOD (Audio/Video-on-Demand) available
A* = standard PTV on board, part of fleet also equipped with AVOD (or installation in process)
+A = standard PTV available but fleet planned to receive AVOD
*A* = fleet partly equipped with mainscreen TV, standard PTV and/or AVOD (or its installation in process)
*+A = fleet partly equipped with mainscreen TV and standard PTV, but planned to receive AVOD
n+A = PTV not available but fleet planned to receive AVOD
L = PTV & LiveTV
L* = PTV & LiveTV partly available or installation in process
Italics = future fleet addition
A330 = all series if not specified
A340 = all series if not specified
B767 = all series if not specified
B777 = all series if not specified
Before you start checking the data, please be aware that list is not absolutely complete. Fast changes in aviation are quite common and there are always pieces of information which cannot be gained easily and without any doubt. Especially in terms of AVOD it is very hard to get reliable info in certain cases.
So should you find mistakes or data missing, don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks in advance for any input!

Thanks for the info. I know AC are going to do a number with their interiors, including, as mentioned, the installment of PTV's with AVOD.
Quoting CXA330300 (Reply 1): But how did ACJ put PTVs in their CR7s?
Yep, they're there! In regards to how they put them in, they took the PTV's out of the box and put them in the available holes in the headrests for the PTV's! Then, I guess they hooked a few wires together!
Cheers,

United has standard PTVs in business and first class on its B747s. None in economy--at least not yet.

Quoting ChrisA330 (Reply 5): AC won't be putting PTV in the A340 fleet as they'll be leaving the fleet as early as next year.
Correct, I've just read a Thales press release where only the A330 is mentioned. I'll remove the A343 from the list.
Btw - does anyone know for sure whether AC's B767-200 will be upgraded? Hard to imagine, considering their age. I haven't seen a source yet which clearly excludes them.

Quoting Karan69 (Reply 7): You dint put the Indian version of JetBlue i.e. Kingfisher Airlines----which has standard PTVs in economy on all its aircraft
Thanks for the update, I wasn't sure about IT. Do they have AVOD as well?

Quoting Karan69 (Reply 9): No, but they have begun introducing business class on their A320s after disposing off their LCC model---these business class seats feature AVOD.

LH do not need PTVs! They instead train their F/As to always smile, be entairtaining, and chat politely with every passenger throughout the flight to help pass the time.

Quoting BA (Reply 12): A small correction, the A321s have AVOD in J class while Y has standard PTVs. The A330s have AVOD in both J and Y.
True, but I only list Economy class features.
Quoting SQNo1 (Reply 13): Does anybody have any insider information about possible upgrades for the EK A330-200 fleet to have the ICE entertainment system in the near future?
EK is just about completing the ICE installation on the B772 fleet, so A330 and B773 will probably follow.

Do you have a source for that? Here's what I have found:

Hi PlaneHunter!
From what I recall, ANA has AVOD in Y on their 772ER. AC will have AVOD on their 777s from what I read in a post here about a month ago.
Great list!

Air France actually has AVOD on their 777-300ERs, and soon their 777-200ER.
Quoting Airnewzealand (Reply 17): Also regos if you like for AVOD aircraft in 747-400 are....
Service Pack 1
-OJE, -OJG, -OJK, -OJS
Service Pack 2
-OEE, -OEB, -OED, -OJU, -OJI

Is it operational finally? When I flew on F-GSQD last year I could see all the menus but most of the features didn't work.

TAP's new A330-200s (currently CS-TOE and CS-TOF) should have PTVs as well in Economy, as they are ex-Swissair birds. I don't know if those PTVs are fully operational.
Iberia is also one of those...classics. Iberia has two wet-leased B744s for the HAV and TFN routes with PTVs in Economy, as those are Singapore aircrafts. On flights to HAV you can see mainscreen programming on the PTVs, on flights to TFN the Airshow if they are turned on. Anyway, don't include them in your list, as the B744s will be returned to the lessor in just two and a half months....so no more PTVs in Y on Iberia aircrafts.
And thanks for the updated list, last year I read your previous threads about this topic and found them very useful.

Yes, they should be equipped with PTVs, but I'm still trying to find out whether these are operational. Lufthansa used to show mainscreen programming on the PTVs.

AFAIK they WILL get the new interiors with PTV+AVOD. However unlike the 763's they will not get the Executive First suites, but only the new regular Executive seats like the rest of the North American fleet.

25 YULWinterSkies: AF 343s are (being ?) featured with AVOD too. I think the 332s are also AVOD, as well as the 3 744s mentioned. AVOD in this case means movies start ev
