Not to much media info, but from what I have been told the aircraft hit the terminal, and the airport is closed. Apparently it impacted in the baggage claim area, narrowly missing a DL ramp agent. I will try to find out what type of plane it was.

Nice Trip Report!!! Great Pics, thanks for posting!!!! B747Forever

From what I read on the Gainesville Sun, it was a twin engined plane (no type specified) that crashed during Takeoff. It apparently nose-dived into a vehicle & crashed into the terminal wall near the baggage claim area. Two people are dead (from the aircraft) and the terminal appears to be closed until tomorrow. Well, I'm glad everybody in the terminal is OK... prayers to the families of those on the plane.

I worked in GNV 11 years ago, there wasn't much of a terminal to hit then!!

I DO NOT work for NK

I live in GNV and there is not too much info thanks to our horrible local news. Only update is that three people died instead of two. RIP to those killed and I send my prayer to their families (I hope I don't know them!)

Here are some
pics....

I'd rather be on the ground wishing I was in the air, than in the air wishing I was on the ground!
