Hey Guys -
I was just checking on the prices of a Ryanair flight from Dublin - Birmingham. The price was .34 pounds. This is equal to about US$1, maybe even a little less. Is this possible?! I cant imaagine how. Ryanair wouldnt be able to pay their pilots/FA's ANYTHING with ticket prices this low!

Any ideas?

Thnx
Dan

They'll add taxes and 'charges' of about 18 Euro (about $21) plus a credit/debit card fee so they actually make more money on it than you think.

And do not forget that these very low prices are available only for a very small number of seats, only if you book well in advance.

I am going to Luton next week on a Ryanair day return, the cost of the flights is EURO 0.99 cents each way + taxes and charges, total cost is 45.00 euro,
But remember when you are booking a Ryanair flight, read everything on the screen before you buy, because they atomatically sell you insurance unless you untick the box, they charge you 7.00 euro to check in a bag and the credit card charge is 2.50 euro per person per sector.

The following week I am going to Dusseldorf on a day return with Aer Lingus and the cost of the flights is 6.00 euro each way + taxes and charges, total cost is 65.00 euro,so it shows that there are cheap fares available

With these companies if your lucky and everything goes well no problems. The problems arrise when things don't go that well. For example the other day the Ryanair flight to GRO was diverted to south of france and paps were sent to GRO by bus but the aircraft did not fly on to GRO and the flight was CNL. The options offered was a refund for the GRO to UK (Cant remember witch airport) but they would not refund the return portion.  Angry

That's right. You get the cheap price because the slaves, I'm sorry, flight attendants, at Ryanair have to pay to take a "flight attendant course" and other things.

Just checked PIK-STN-PIK on the 18th October. Both flights are 0.49p each, the total with tax is £28.64.

For flights in September its even less, £24.98. I'll stop now as its getting boring  Smile

Well there's obviously demand for the jobs if people are willing to pay for the courses. It's not like they do the course and find themselves getting billed unexpectedly afterwards  Smile

I can only say these prices are genuine but of course limited in number. But as others have said look out for the extras, by the time you have paid the booking fee, paid for your bags to be checked in, bought a drink and a sandwich etc you will end up paying £25 before taxes etc from your £1 ticket price!!!!!

Take in to consideration:

-The Low landing fee's
- Pay per bag to check-In,
- Excess Baggage, On Average They get about £200-£300 worth of Exsess luggage per flight
- Manual Check-ins, cheaper to run, no computers, and It backs it self up in case of any system failure
- Quick Turn Arounds save money
- FA's do Boarding and Flight announcements, Only meant to have 1 handeling agent member present for help (but we sent 2-3 agents to assist anyway)

That on a whole will earn a lot of money or at least save some money

I booked 3 tickets on Ryanair from DUB to STN, the fair was 34 cent each person, each way. I added 2 bags (€7 each) and no insurance. I paid with my Visa card which I was charged for and the total cost including Taxes and charges for everyone was just under €170 return. Now as much as the airports fleece you in taxes and charges FR has a couple of hidden charges too which i still find rightly annoying.

Though €170 return is still a bargain for 3 people, even if it is flying with FR.
