Why, why, why do they use a fake / edited photo on their web site?
While I'm used to mismatched photos in the media (like picturing a Qantas 744 when they report on the newest Southwest route), this is ridiculous. I thought STA was a halfway decent travel agency that know their business.

Are they trying to say that they are an "A-plus" airline??? It looks like a modified Aplus gas station logo...
I am not sure if there are A-plus stations nationwide, but they are common in western PA

AIRLINERS.NET CREW FORUM MODERATOR
I myself found out that STA barely ever offers the best fare (even on a student saver ticket). They might be quite competent in their fields, but even they must have the slightest fragment of taste left in their brains, otherwise they would choose on of the many other awful repants ... or why not to go for the best alternative ... the real livery?

Reliability - punctuality - good service - safety and all the other goo/bad thing s you associate with Germans/Germany. Got mark 1 for analyzing this in marketing few years ago in the school.
And please view this from a normal passenger side of view and don't post the on-time performance of LH for the last 50 years together with the never ending discussion about missing PTV'S in Eco.

The company was founded in 1926 and headquartered in Berlin, following a merger between "Deutsche Aero Lloyd" (DAL) and "Junkers Luftverkehr" on January 6 of that year. The company's original full name was Deutsche Luft Hansa Aktiengesellschaft. The name Lufthansa derives from Luft (the German word for "air") and Hansa (the Hanseatic trade organization that was mainly active in Northern Europe during the medieval times).
Hope it helps

Quoting Jorge1812 (Reply 10): Maybe a LH Manager visited western PA last summer
I am sure that there are better chances of LH starting PIT service as opposed to that happening... or vise versa considering that a LH manager or rep would likely visit PIT or something of the type before an anouncement would be made... Oh wait, one was made. "We're not coming..."

You know... it's not always about offering the lowest fare, but sometimes more about offering the most flexible one at the lowest rate available for that flexibility...

Well... maybe a bit... ... but I simply do mind if I see comments that I know are misleading, and that doesn't specifically have to be about the company I work for...

I think it's quite nice, but I doubt the fact of a livery like that on 'Lufty birds'.
Quoting Jorge1812 (Reply 1): that not what the Name Lufthansa stands for
What does it stand for Jorge? I know that 'LUFT' means air, as in luftwaffe: air force. But this has been puzzling me and my german teacher @ school. Thanx in advance.
