Zurich, 18 April 2006 - FIFA today announced that Emirates Airline has booked a first-class ticket into the heart of world football by signing up as a FIFA Partner from 2007 to 2014 in the product category Airline Passenger Services. This partnership, sealed by FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter and Emirates Group Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum at a signing ceremony in Dubai, represents by far the largest sponsorship deal the airline has entered into at a value of USD 195 million and further underscores the enduring appeal of football.

Maybe EK will consider sponsoring the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish National Football team too as they're out of their sponsorship deals at the end of this year/season IIRC
Then give us the long anticipated 2nd daily GLA-DXB flight!!

Quoting DAL767400ER (Reply 5): And so did Chelsea last year, which could make you wonder as to how they won the Premier League
Don't forget about Arsenal's soon to be opened Emirates Stadium and their new sponsorship deal. Chelsea is now sponsored by Samsung Mobile (I just bought their shirt).

Oh great. More years of having to see Emirates' logo plastered all over sporting events.
