Surprisingly MAT brought their CRJ-900 to Vienna the second time today.

This makes me wonder where this plane is coming from. Is it a new built one or from another source? And whatever happened to their ERJ-170.

Was it ever delivered?

The EMB-170 was never delivered, the CRJ-900 was the prototype (c/n 15001) and demonstrator aircraft before.

Isn't it a bit odd to have both the CRJ900 and EMB-170 joining the fleet of a small carrier like MAT at the same time. Wouldn't it make more sense if they got both the CRJ700 and CRJ900 or EMB-170 and EMB-190?
Are they expecting any deliveries of either aircraft family in the near future?

Its all about supply and demand...

Okay, so Air One and MAT are becoming CR9 users... and no announcements from BBD... I would have thought that they would be happy to announce new customers...?

Or are the CR9 on a "try-me-for-a-while-and-then-decide"...?

What a nice looking aircraft the CRJ900 is in MATs lovely colours. Its strange that this aircraft just arrived with MAT, when did it come? where did it come from? Does anyone have any other news about MAT..anyflights to UK on the horizon? We don't have any direct link between lovely Macedonia and UK, and it would be a welcome adition becuase we have a relativly numerous Macedonian community here in London.

Regards.

Do you all know if the ERJ-170 is ever going to be delivered, or has the order been belatedly cancelled?

I read somewhere that the orders for the 3 ERJ jets have been cancelled.

Also Macedonian Airlines will not lease any aircraft from next year so I assume that the only aircraft MAT will have in their fleet will be 3 CRJ-900's which have all been purchased not leased.

No way to see the E170 joining the MAT fleet.
Financing was never found for this purpose.
Probably , MAT got a very very sweet deal for this prototype CRJ900.

Both E170 and the CRJ900 look nice in the MAT livery. How many aircraft does MAT have in their fleet an what are the types?

They used to have 733 leased from JAT but they have been returned.

This Embraer 170 in MAT colors will be soon delivered to Cirrus Airlines (Germany). The Aircraft is already in Cirrus colors and in final adjustments.

This aircraft is one of the pre-series airframes, used during the certification campaign.

How has MAT configured their CRJ900? All Y-class (86-90 seats) or have they kept the demonstrator interior of 10F + 65Y?

And Travel: where did you find out that they have bought three aircraft? I did a web search for newspaper articles but nothing came up...

I hate Cirrus Airways. They don't really have a clue what they are doing. I flew them a few times from SKP to FRA and they were very poor, doesn't add up to anything worth having for Lufthansa. Poor operation generally and lacking in anything (other than their co-operation with LH). The sooner LH replace them on all their routes the better.

Uuuuh...what a ugly airplane the CRJ 900 is!!!

The fuselage is waaay too long and the engines are too small.

The Embraer looks completely different and great !!!

Bombardier.com writes that they have one firm order and two conditional orders for the CRJ900... is a "conditional order" more than just an option?
