What is great about this is CM's move to increase MVD-PTY to 7x daily. Both AA and IB are realizing favorable yields on their MVD-MIA and MVD-MAD nonstops, respectively, and are considering upgrading their service to 7x daily as well.
Daily nonstop flights to MIA, PTY and MAD is rather impressive.
Does anyone have a clue when construction is expected to start on the new MVD terminal designed by famed architect, Rafael Vinoly?
Have the road blocks on the Fray Bentos bridge from Entre Rios affected air travel from AEP/EZE to MVD? Are more travelers flying to MVD rather than driving as a result?

7:25h!!!!
And I thought São Paulo - Panama City was a long flight! I wonder how many pax can Copa ferry on this journey. Does anyone recall any longer scheduled flight w/ 737? I think of Westjet on the Mexico routes but I'm not sure.

Well, it's only about 70 miles further than EZE according to the Great Circle Mapper. I'm impressed CM is opening the route -- wouldn't have thought MVD could support it. Are they flying 2x daily PTY-EZE now?

CM PTY-MVD is going to be the longest B737 (mixed configuration) scheduled flight. For better performance, it's possible CM may only take 110+ pax on the northbound flight.
