BA Istanbul Emergency Landing

According to turkish news site www.haberturk.com (turkish only) BA flght from London enroute to Bombay landed at Ataturk Istanbul airport due to a sick passanger. The passanger aged 37 went unconsius during the flight and was taken to International hospital after landing.

As stated above, it was a 777. And most assuredly, it had to take on a fair bit of fuel to make the remainder of the flight to LHR.

It diverted to Istanbul apparently.

If it is indeed because of a medical emergency, it's been classed as: COMMERCIAL PUBLICITY / PASSENGER CONVENIENCE.

215 passengers were on board.

It landed at 1730 and got to the gate 7 minutes late.

It left the gate at 1845 and took off at 1902.

It arrived in BOM 2 hours 35 minutes late.



Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

It was the BA198, which operates BOM-LHR, so presumably it arrived 2 hours 35 minutes late, but at LHR?

BA198 landed at 2032 and got to Terminal 4 at 2045 - 2 hours 35 minutes late.
