I was driving to pick up a friend of mine who was flying DFW-ORD on Friday evening. I am positive I saw a 767-400 take off from ORD at about 7:15 pm. It had a distinctively longer body than the usual 767-300, plus it banked and I saw that the wingtips were raked back more steeply. Anyone know anything about what flight it might have been or the destination? I was unaware the 767-400 was in regular service now! Must've been Delta, I thought...

Delta is the launch customer for the 764, but none of the aircraft are in service. In fact, Delta just took delivery of its first 764. The aircraft was delivered in the 1997 color scheme. Thus, it needs to be repainted in the new colors. I think the first revenue flight is scheduled in October or November 2000.
