I just checked my mail for today and found my copy of Airliners. I started brousing through it. There are some nice stories this month.
This magazine has a column towards the back called "Flying the WEB" by Thomas Becher. Every month it passes on the best aviation sites on the net. This was his last column as he is apparently moving on to another job. But as I read through I got to the second last paragraph:
"Fortunately, there are some things the Web can't replace, such as pilots dedicated to safety and service. So, what's my all-time favorite commercial aviation site? It's www.airliners.net (not related to this magazine). I first wrote about this site when it was a simple page for amateur photographers sharing airplane shots from their latest spotting trips. Since then, it has evolved into a great on-line database with a world-class layout offering nearly 90,000 airliner images, several discussion forums, industry news, hundreds of links and much, much more. The competition of Web audiences is stiff, but this one site I found myself going to again and again."

This is a very good and interesting site. My only wonder is why it takes ages loading on my computer. My 28K modem doesn't seem to be getting data constantly. Hotmail and yahoo loads real quick. The forums are also very good to use. The design is also excellent.

this is the best aviation site i have ever been too, i go here at least 10x a day(about 3x on days i have schools) and there is no other site that can compare with this site, it is also educational too in the way that in the forums, you can learn things you never knew, and it is something for every body to talk about aviation(age, sex etc) it is on airliners.net that i can really have a serious aviation conversation with someone, this site is definately the best in 'bizzness
Give me a break, I created this username when I was a kid...

I am 100% in agreement. I come back to Airliners.net over and over. It's very fascinating to be able to exchange so many ideas and so much information about commercial airliners, and to see so many amazing photos!
Thank you Johan and your colleagues for all your hard work!
