Don't Slack In The Middle East Twa!

I heard from a friend that Continental is seriously looking at operating into Amman. Looks like TWA will no longer be the only US carrier in the Middle East.

TWA isn't the only US airline there anyway. CO has two daily EWR-TLV flights and just began code sharing with Emirates, a much stronger and powerful ally
for the region than Kuwait Airways and Royal Jordanian, both of which code
share with TWA.

I think TWA will continue to do well in the region (Cairo, Riyadh, Tel Aviv)
even if CO enters the Amman market. Both airlines have good service and
little in the way of overlap. Delta and CO have proven that you can operate
successfully across the Atlantic from New York without getting into each
other's way too much.

I agree, although you gotta admit, in the case of Amman, TW's codeshare agreement with Royal Jordanian was a good move.

Are we talking about a daily service?
I cant see CO flying into Amman with a bigger a/c then the 762, there isnt much demend on such a route,
the only airline who flies to nyc from amman is RJ daily (i think....) they fly it with a A310 via AMS.
They code-share on this flight with TW.
