Is There An Official "Concept" Or Design For 797?

All the talk of Boeing recently has been on its 777LR and the 787...

Yet there have been mentions of the 797. Obviously, this is the next logical number for Boeing's newest airplane.

My question: Are there any official concepts or designs of what this plane will do? Range? Capacity? Size? That kind of thing.

I'm sure there are plenty of rumors, but what do we know Boeing has decided upon?

Thanks in advance!! And happy flying!!  cloudnine

In all honesty, no, there isn't an official design and Boeing has never used the 797 to describe any future aircraft. Many people here at least (myself included) feel that this will be the replacement for the 737/757 (Y1), which Boeing currently calls the 737RS.

Boeing may have some internal designs, but nothing has been made public.

Hah! Great!

In actuality it will probably be based on the 737 but who knows!
