Hello,

is it worth asking for an upgrade on AF longhaul flights ?? I don't know if there will be any seats available in L'espace on my flight this winter (I don't think so ;-() but does anybody have any experiences on that ??
Did anybody get upgraded ?? What is the best way to 'succeed' ??

Thanks a lot, B737-700

It's ALWAYS nice to ask for an upgrade on long-haul flights. Just give it a try!

You will never know unless you ask.

Upgrades do happen - to increase your chances it is always advisable to dress samrtly and to be pleasant to the check-in personnel.

Give it a go and good luck.

Wait, are you saying that if I am dressed right, and I am lucky, I will get upgraded to first class for free?

I have already been upgraded with Air Canada, actually my mom did all the work. We were almost the last one for the check in (coach class was full) and she said she would like an aisle seat because she had a pain in the leg and could not extend it totally, the lady at the counter was a bit embarassed because she had no more aisle seats available in coach class, so she went to her supervisor and he finnaly came to us saying that we would get 2 first class seats. It was my first and last time i flew on first class and it was great!

you might want to try that...

Nico
