FKB-STR...does That Make Sense?

I found out that Hapagfly offers commercial flights from FKB to STR (flight HF 5555 and HF 5556) which is actually only 50 miles away and by car about 30 minutes drive if conditions are good.
I was wondering what sense such a flight would make or if this is merely a repositioning flight. However, why would Hapagfly then offer this flight for purchase on their website (for horrendous prices by the way)?
Also I don't believe it's a coach service since they charge you all aviation typical surcharges and also the total price would definitely be too high for a 45 minute coach ride.
Anybody can shed some light on this please?

I believe HapagFly have a hub at STR and this is a feeder flight into it

It's probably a repositioning flight. I know Hapagfly operates from FKB to Spain and they are probably just repositioning from STR. Instead of flying an empty plane FKB-STR they prefer selling some seats at horrendous prices.

either way, the plane will most likely be empty.

It is a regular feeder flight to their winter hub in STR. Most seats are sold as a part of holiday package deals. The rest is available for individual bookings (also as transfer connections from FKB via STR to destinations around the Med and vice versa).
