Kingfishers recent order for 5x340-500's aren't there though. But looking at how India is contributing a bulk of the orders (and most of the value) I'm very impressed.

Justplanes is just plain wrong when it comes to counting orders. As an example, note how they have included 15 widebody aircraft from the AI order that was booked last year and how the QF order for 787's is missing aswell as the order for A350's and A343's from Finnair, the A330's for QF and the A345's for Kingfisher. Some of the A320's included in their list have been booked last year aswell.

Justplanes is a very unreliable source for order tally. Best thing to do is look it up on both the Airbus and Boeing website.

Justplanes should only be used as a very very rough guide. As Wings says, the only accurate site is probably Airbus and Boeing's own.

Boeing is certainly doing very well this year, and I would expect them to tally more orders than Airbus. I just hope they do not peak to soon airplane

The easiest and best place to look is right here on A.Net. hamlet69 does an excellent job sorting out signed orders, pending orders, and cancellations from both manufaturers sights and other sources. One of the best threads here in my opinion.

Bear in mind, Airbus likes to horde their orders, and announce them/put them on the books when it is most expediant from a P.R perspective to do so. That tends to be the airshows, or slipping orders backwards into december to avoid getting embarresed.

You have Air China listed twice for seperate orders of the same aircraft:

10x737-800 and 15x737-800

Why not combine them as (25x737-800)?

Hamlet seems to do a much better job because he breaks out the pending vs firm, which justplanes doesn't do. As time goes on, their listing is just going to get more inaccurate because of orders or announcements that didn't happen.

To add to the confusion, they never updated the Airbus total for the 150 A320 order from last year. If they added it to this year it would be OK, but it's still not posted.
