I got the e-mail from Air NZ yesterday.

They have a special promotion of around $2800 around the world from LAX in Pacific Economy. They say the regular price will be $300 more.

What is it? It's A 747-400, but that's not important right now.

LHR is the ultimate for Air NZ and the psychology is driven relentlessly to achieve that non commercial goal. Round the world to London being the finest trophy.
What if EK gets it's extra rights out of Australia. They'll go straight on the tasman seeing the high risk strategy being taken by NZ and drop LHR fares through the floor. Then what?
