CO Flight Delayed Well Over 24 Hours

I am just curious, what happened to CO flight 97 (TXL-EWR) yesterday morning?? Yesterday's flight was delayed until this afternoon, TODAY.

If the flight was delayed THAT long, were passengers compensated in any way?

What kind of mechanical problem could it have had?

The plane has to get back to EWR somehow.
