Allegiant announced today that it will increase Fresno-Las Vegas service to twice daily on Fridays and Sundays starting June 2. Judging from the times it appears this is the redeployment of the PSP aircraft.
Looks like Alleigant is probably competing nicely with US/HP which upgraded to a A319 on one flight to complement its CR9 on the night run. I know some people were thinking the larger mainline equipment would have a negative impact on G4 out of FAT.
The new schedule:
FRI and SUN Flights
Flight # 505 Dep LAS 3:20 PM Arr FAT 4:25 PM
Flight # 504 Dep FAT 5:05 PM Arr LAS 6:15 PM
Flight # 507 Dep LAS 6:35 PM Arr FAT 7:40 PM
Flight # 506 Dep FAT 8:20 PM Arr LAS 9:30 PM
MON/WED/THURS Flights
Flight # 507 Dep LAS 6:35 PM Arr FAT 7:40 PM
Flight # 506 Dep FAT 8:20 PM Arr LAS 9:30 PM

Also, G4 rolled out a newly designed website....looks good IMO. Good for FAT!

I agree FATFlyer...it looks more colorful but who knows if it's an improvement yet. Iowaman....the other error I see is they still have TOL-LAS on the routemap

Quoting Iowaman (Reply 3): The newly redesigned site is awesome! But I think I found an error in the flight schedule section:
Cedar Rapids, IA Days of Service
S M T W Th F S
To Las Vegas Depart 8:05pm Arrive 9:30pm Flt# 437
From Las Vegas Depart 2:15am Arrive 7:20am Flt# 534
sounds like a redeye to me. This one is pretty late, even by Vegas Standards, but there are tons of flights leaving LAS from 11:30 PM to 1:00 AM all heading east.

LOL, you guys are fast. I had someone walk into my office after my post to go over some numbers and didn't get a chance to look over the web site much until now.
Just a few quick thoughts:
I was disappointed with the route map. I was hoping they would redo the graphic so that Oregon was back in proportion.
I also think with the smaller map size it is harder to see some of the route line separation. This could be a problem if another focus city come on board. An interactive map might be better. Or maybe there should be an option to increase the map size in a new window.
Besides the errors you caught I see misspelled words on the reservation page. Radisson is 2 "s", what is a "fee sale" to Killeen.
"Contact Us" has a menu with the word donations misspelled.
There are probably more misspellings.
The flash item on the reservation page is slow loading for me.
Some of the design things are choices but misspelled words (and of course those schedule errors) are a pet peeve. I have consulted on websites and spelling and proofing is a controllable that should be fixed before going live.

No it must be a typo, they are not going to leave the plane on the ground in Cedar Rapids for 12 hours during the day.

Go Allegiant!!!! That is awesome that they are continuing to grow. Glad to see it.
I do have to admit. I really never thought they would be where they are today. In fact, I have to admit I thought they would not be here today. Allegiant has certainly turned my head, and makes you wonder how many more they have turned besides this armchair CEO! LOL!
I hope Allegiant continues to grow. Sure would be neat to see G4 go for another aircraft type. Has there been any rumor on the MD-90? Or even a few 757's? Oh hell, how about a 777?

I have never seen an airline make such rapid decisions as Allegiant. They seem to have the attitude that a market will be suddenly happen or it will not and they respond quickly to the indications. This is an interesting business plan.

The rumors are around that something may happen. As Jeb94 posted in another thread yesterday there are rumors among employees that something may happen in the next year or so. I've been catching wiffs outside the company of how a change might be pulled off, but its also only rumors so far.

With oil now predicted to get to $100 a barrel by year end that may become a business practice other airlines have to adopt. It will become harder to run an aircraft around at 40 or 50% loads while a market develops.

Quoting PieTpaFlSun (Reply 12): Any word on the expansion into PIE this October??
I haven't heard that anything has been decided yet.
Quoting Humberside (Reply 13): Whats the chance of Tuesday and/or Saturday flights on the route in the future
I would have doubts about Sat flights ever happening that is a slower travel day since most people want the whole weekend in LAS. Possibly a very early morning flight but I doubt it.
Tuesday doesn't seem to be working too many places.

Are there any Tuesday flights left?
And just a small element of their success.
Instead of trying to be all things to all people, they focus their resources where they know they can extract maximum return from the investment.
Very wise in my view to remain mainly Tuesday/Saturday Free.
For the type of Airline they are, like Tuesday, the people they serve want to be at their destination on Saturday, not arriving.
The new aircraft type is scary, but at this point necessary. With gas over $70/bbl, and the MD80 not being the most economical bird in the sky, I'm the issue is going to force Allegiants hand before they were entirely ready.
Quoting Iowaman (Reply 3): The newly redesigned site is awesome!
I don't really care for it.
Lines on route map hard to read. Schedule is clunky, Roanoke comes before Rockford in an alpha list...why can't they group all a cities departures together?
Oh well, at least they offer affordable air travel, right? Ain't that what its all about anyway?

LAS to CID times are definitely a typo, currently they operate departing LAS 2:15 arriving CID 7:20pm, it then turns around and goes back to LAS at 8:05pm

In regards to their new web page, I was shopping around a bit, and what is weird that the default booking search is for 2 adults and also includes a hotel in your trip. I just put in my cities assuming I'd get a one adult airfare only return, then had to go back to the homepage to start over.

Packages are a major piece of the revenue in their business model. So it doesn't surprise me that it is a default, they want to sell that not just a seat. But a default of 2 adults is interesting maybe that is the typical booking.
Sounds like it should also be easier to make changes midway. I'll have to play with it and see how they have it set.
