I was juts wondering what happend to the Independence Air birds after they folded. I recall that their CL600s were very new.

Did another carrier buy them?
Are they being resold by creditor?
Are they still sitting around gathering dust?

I know ASA has quite a few IDE birds. If you look close at the winglets on some the old blue paint is showing through.

We still, after almost 4 months (listed prior to Flyi's demise) have one of the former Ind. CRJ's listed for sale. Few nibbles, no bites.

It only takes five years to go from rumor to standard operating procedure.

Just the one? Who snapped up the rest of the CL600s. I'd imagine there to be no shortage of buyers given how many carriers in the US operates them.

Air Canada Jazz has eight of them, I just worked on one of them this morning (C-GJZL). The seat and wall colours were changed to match the newer Jazz CRJs. They have smaller galleys, and lack such things as magazine racks, trolley top extensions, and galley curtains.

So, erm, excuse my asking, but how much would it go for (ballpark, of course, chances of me being interested/able to purchase directly proportional to chance of winning the lottery  Smile )

804BR confirmed, w/o picture, saw it at MX´s maintenance base in MEX, no chance to get a picture because I took of at night and my camera was dying, also that bird was ferried with a stop at MTY (MMMY) to Canada where Aigle Azur crew came to pick her up.

Those 2 are parked at MX´s maintenance base in MEX, hopefully they will join MX´s fleet, but nothing confirm yet.

I realize now when looking at that list that I made a mistake when I posted that thread and the list a couple of weeks ago, MMX has to be MEX.

Does anybody have any info on the futures of N805BR and N806BR?

Thanks for the picture. They are parked at my home airport, Tucson Insternational Airport. Gathering dust...yes! It is hot, dry and windy here. We have had less than an inch of rain all winter. They add a bit of color to the desert.

Well, atleast she looks nice in her new paint job!  Smile
I loved Indy Air's color scheme. It was one of the few that actually managed to make the Airbus look nice  Wink

Concur. I was in MEX last month, and saw two of the Indy A319's.

I talked to this aircraft while i was working on YQB TCU as it was ferried in from MMMX to Quebec City, CYQB, then to BIKF, then ENGM and then to its new base, UDYZ, Yerevan, Armenia.

Sadly, this same airline lost an A320 yesterday, EK-32009, in sochi, Russia, during and approach in bad weather.

If they are not leased out to another carrier, maybe Armavia can take either 805 or 806 as a (interim) replacement for the crashed A320?

Its all about supply and demand...
25 BigOrange : They are in plain view, but you would need a big lens to get decent shots. They are (or were 2/14/06) parked midfield.
26 Thenoflyzone : N806BR will be flying for Armavia! New Reg: EK-32012 Due to be delivered by the end of this week! AK
27 MaartenV : That leaves just N805BR homeless... Two of the ex-Indy CRJs have found a new home at GO!, Mesa's Hawaiian subsidiary.
