Question About America West And Partners

I had a question about the partners that America West has or still has. Now I know that America West had partners with: Virgin Atlantic, Hawaiian Airlines, Qantas, Royal Jordanian, Big Sky, and Eva Air. With the new merger or the taking over of US Airways, does this mean the alliances are over because they are now Star? Or are these airlines going to switch over now to try to become star? What is happening with them? Will I be able to use my US Dividend miles with Eva Air?

Thanks in advance for any response  Smile

First of all, you're going to get blasted for calling it a takeover  Smile

I think for the moment these codeshares are still in place. Some may have expired but I believe at least some are still working. I'm not sure if the Star thing really affects them, unless the other carriers are in another alliance.

Here's the place to have a look.

Example: BA partnership with HP ended 12/31/05. HA partnership phasing out and will end 12/14/06. NW partnership ended 3/31/06.

Navigate around the site and you'll where you can transfer FlightFund miles to Dividend Miles and take advantage of Star Alliance . . . etc.

I don't think that Flight Fund members could redeem for EVA Air flights. The partnership between EVA and America West is an unusual one.
