Hi, has anyone been on one of the new TK A330´s in C ? I saw a picture on the net which showed lie-flat seats in a very comfortable cabin. Combined with low-priced tickets, this could be a choice for my next long-haul trip.

the A330 is wonderful, our A340s will be modified soon to look similar, please do give us a try, at least the food and service in business will leave a good impression, if you can overlook pink curtains and blue seats  Smile

good day!

Thanks Pilotaydin.

I wonder why your company don´t promote their new product on the official website. Sure, you get info on general issues like service etc., but nothing about the new aircraft or pictures of seats etc..

The only pic I found was a promotional one:

yeah believe it or not customer service is a new concept in turkey, the website has changed since the last one, i will let my friends know who work at PR, because word of mouth is the best way to tell people what's going on, the website should do better in some areas. Also we have a new commercial for the first time in years in english on CNN!! quite a start lol

The new commercial may be wiewed on the following link. I personely think it's a bit dry. Doesn't show any aircraft interior. Nothing about new seats or new routes.

Working in the production of tv ads, I found this new commercial a good idea, well executed. In 28 seconds it tries to convene the idea of the new tulip design, the new A330s, destinations, with the usual theme of musical influences from both east and the west. I am sure there are other cuts, versions with different emphasis. It is a real fine line to promote an airline, be respected, and be creative while doing it. It has to be dry in this case, for a flag carrier.
Shilla,
This is the first time I see that photo, that should tell you how little it has been promoted. And about keeping websites up to date, if you go to www.flyturkish.com , TK's North American website, under products and services, it still states that the average age of TK's A340's is just 4 years. I wrote to them to correct this info, no replies. (That average age is now 10 years old, by the way)

Friko, Id like to know more about you, who are you? what do you do? Are you Turkish? I'm kinda confused, I don't get a positive vibe from you for Turkish aviation.... im not trying to be offensive, just wanna see where u stand

Yes, their website is really not up to date. It´s like Egyptair...their internet presentation is so unprofessional and stuporous - not a way to acquire new customers.

Maybe Pilotaydin can confirm that the picture actually shows the new TK Business-Class seat (although he flies on B737) !?

Hi Pilot Aydin,

I am a university student living in London, been living abroad since the age of 14 in Switzerland, United Kingdom, and USA. I am Turkish. travelled quite extensinsevly with most airlines in First, Business and Economy class. I am trying to be positive when ever I can but objective at the same time. I know Tk is our national airline and I would be proud if it ever made it to the Top 5 but I can't turn a blind eye to facts.

That looks nothing like the business seats that I saw in a picture posted on www.myaviation.net . Does anyone know if any of the A340's have had the new interiors installed yet? I am flying TK soon and I was wondering if I would have the chance of flying in a plane with the new seats. Do the economy seats have ptv's now?

I´m pretty sure that only the A330s have new Business Class seats - the A340s are still equipped with those old blue seats.

I didn´t find any picture of the new cabin on myaviation.net. Maybe you mixed it up with the A340.

I know that very well this is the usual proceduces of Turkish Airlines

TK start to sending their A340 to Airbus for new interiors install,I agree it's good idea to improve passenger service but not just only on the hardware, software is most important for passenger (front line staff).

I think TK really needs to update their A340 planes have been flying for almost 10 years now with the same interior you can not be competitive with the kind of in flight entertainment offered on TK long haul

It looks pretty neat! But isn't it a bit inconvenient that the screens on the back of the seats can't swivel? The fabrics are very nice, it gives a good impression of the cultural heritage of Turkey

I hope they start changing the seats on the A340's really soon like by early June because if they had the new cabin interior then it would make for a really good trip report I could post on here.
