Its not Expansion its just replacement like US Shuttle did with B727s
So I guess now DL Shuttle can start flying out of DCA 6am like US did with new Airbus fleet.

When will DL find the DCA slots to become more competitive with US Airways by offering hourly service on the BOS - DCA service?
As for other expansion, it's unlikely. The Shuttle is a unique product and would not be suitable for too many other routes. The only other ones I can think of are in the NE like out of PHL.

I think that Delta ran out of slots at DCA. That's why ComAir is running a couple of the shuttle flights with the CRJ. Delta's pilots weren't happy about it, but Delta simply has no more landing slots at DCA.
