40% of Turkish is offered for sale, the new owners will also get the management control. Interested parties are:
Swissair---want TK back to its qualifier, TK will be out of the alliance next month
Air France---just a rumour
Lufthansa---very serious and might be the winner, with TK, LH can have a dominant position in the ex-Russian republics and also control the lucrative Germany-Turkey route (2.5 million Turks are living there)--Another Star Alliance mamber will join the club.
TK has a very young fleet with 7 A340, 13 A310-200/300 (for sale), RJ 70/100s and B737-800/400s/500s.
The B737-400/500 and A310-200 are being phased out in favour of the B737-800. There are rumours that some A310-300 might be replaced by A330-200s. If LH buys the airline, TK might swift to the A320 series since both A340/310 and B737 purchases were politically motivated and the gvt being out of the picture things might change.

I have not heard anything about BA. It is also a question of "fit" LH has already a JV with TK on Sun Express (Condor owns 50% and TK 50%) operating some 8 B737-800 as Charter. BA will be too busy with KLM but again who knows. I am 100% sure of the Qualifier news, a friend of mine is working at TK and she told me so, it was later on the Newspaper.
