Glad to hear that the Scenic Air model is working well at places like Merced and Visalia. It was unfortunate that Palmdale/Lancaster didn't work, as there Scenic reported a measly, say 3,000 passengers enplaned for 2005! So sad!
I also hear that depending on the loads, they might also start Visalia - Reno service as well.
Well, once upon a time it was located in Mexico, but now it's located in the United States of America. Merced is located in California's San Joaquin Valley, I'd say halfway between Stockton and Fresno.
Any other cities in California that you think can support Scenic Air service with an EAS?
That is true, VIS has been a real success for them also. I think they also currently operate Ely-Elko-Reno. So they are building a nice little operation at RNO. It would be nice to see some interline agreements come next.
Other cities? I think it depends on their business model. I don't know enough to project if Vegas flights have to operate first then grow the market to add Reno.
If they wanted to continue to build RNO I could see a few possibles such as RDD or MRY or FAT. At VGT I would have considered MOD until Allegiant announced SCK. But I think there are possibles in other states also. Remember Vision Air just started Williams Gateway in AZ to North Las Vegas.
