UA 895 05/11/06 What Happened?

While I was at work today at ORD, I saw a couple of fire trucks and ambulances racing to runway 27L about 3:30 p.m. Apprently United 895 a B744 was enroute ORD to Hong Kong. About a hour into the flight, it declared a emergency and returned to ORD. I am just trying to figure out what went wrong and why they didn't divert to MSP for example. Any help on this would be greatly appriciated.

telling what happened would be like pouring gas onto a fire with the a.net anti ual crowd sitting around a camp fire at top of the parking garage at ord with their $1500 cameras singing coomby ya.... waiting for something to happen that puts ual in a negative spin..... Smile
