Is this a test or does CX plan to strip the paint from all freighters? I like those bare metal 747s if the operator keeps them clean like JAL does. Northwests original freighters on the opposite look like they´ve never seen a real good polish since they were delivered 30 years ago.

It looks nothing like the AC 767... that was a complete mess.
Cathay are not doign this to look pretty!!.... they are doing it to save money and yes all freighters will be like this. B-HMD goes this weekend to Xiamen and the 1st ex SQ 744BCF arrives in June. B-HIH will now start service in the 2nd half of June.

I like it a lot. I'm not so fond of the current pax 744 livery - I think the greenie-grey comes too far up making the plane look a bit grubby. It's alright on A330/340 and passable on 777s where it's really only the belly that is that colour. I personally would like to see a new colour scheme for CX - shiny metal would be a good choice IMHO. I dare say I'd be in the minority though.

Quoting Johnny (Reply 10): Cathay Pacific had one of the nicest liveries.
They still have that livery. It's just that on one cargo plane so far, (any more to come??), the white paint was changed for bare metal.
I like it. I am not a fan of boring plain white liveries with the smallest possible colour additions. Something which stands out in a negative way however, is the grey-plugged windows. They look weird.
