What do you think of Pakistan International's new look?
I feel theres too much white in it and by dropping the floral "Pashmina" design from the the tails its become really bland, also why are the tails of the A310s not painted right down to the bottom where the tail meets the fuselage? Ive noticed this on other A310s also especially of Tarom and JES air is this a new style?

I like the floral design and cannot understand why they now use the very boring pure green over the very boring pure white fuselage.
The airplanes look a bit like "leased in from Air Atlanta" now.

I agree !
The pashmina look was great and invoked Pakistan's Mughal heritage. The bland green merely invokes a desperate connection to Saudi Arabia or any run of the mill right wing Islamic state.

Hi,
OK, there is not much difference between the two liveries, but I liked the old one more bcause of the green strips on parts of the plane (Downside the body of the plane). Now it is all white, a bit boring.
Still kind of extraordinary is the all green tail. I like it, it is different to most other airlines.
Really not so good is the floral design, looks a bit confusing and old-fashioned.

I like the floral design on the tail! It looks nice actually!
The rest of the plane looks just like all the "Euro-white" planes we have here in Europe! Trash! Be innovative, create a new stylish look and a new image!

I think the new livery looks cool in every way. I would have added more green, and I like the floral design a lot. I don't think it's old fashioned, but rather original.

thanks everyone, other members please add your views, and no the floral design does not look old fashioned its the only aspect of the livery that was attractive.

I find both liveries to be rather bland, unfortunately following the present-day trend amongst airlines towards unimaginative liveries. The floral design adds to the look, but not too much. Something more whimsical would be great - artwork in the Middle East is so amazing, why can't airline liveries be that way?

The 'Pashmina' color scheme was way better than PIA's current livery. I would certainly like PIA to retain that. Especially PIA's Jumbo looked great in it.

Ilyushin96m is right !
Look at GulfAir's new special color schemes !
Absolutely awesome.
At least with the pashmina look, PIA was trying.
Now their planes look just as hideous as Indian Airline's moronic saffron tails across the border.

so the conclusion is that PIAs new livery is B-O-R-I-N-G and couldve been much , much better and that the "Pashmina'' design just about made it tolerable. Thanks everyone.

I definitely loved the pashmina on the tail.
Once PIA becomes private, the fleet should get a whole new livery. I would like to see more colorful planes, which would also shows something of Pakistan's culture (similar to pashmina but more colorful).

I did like the old PIA livery - the green and gold stripes down the fuselage. Plus, the dark green salwar suits designed by Pierre Balmain in the 1970s and 80s for the flight attendants were really classy !
