You can stand on the wall at the 14 end of the runway, next to the cemetary and you should be on the same level as the tarmac - no fences.
If you want the 32 end, there is a small pat that leads along the side of the airport (have to know the area to find it), and it comes to a nice spot by the numbers at the 32 end. You would have the fence in the way though.
Alternatively, stand on the hill on the rough ground opposite the airport and film from there - although the Multishyte hangers have blocked most of the nice view.
If you have a good zoom, the Royalty pub on Otley chevin (white building on the horizion) looks over the whole airport.
