As from the British Airways inflight newspaper

The controversy caused by the publishing of cartoons depicting Mohammed has been partly blamed for a fall in numbers using Copenhagen Airport.
The 7.9 per cent first quarter drop was mainly for destinations in the Middle East, following the publication of the cartoons in Denmark which caused an outcry among Muslims.

What other world events has changed traffic figures? 9/11 comes to mind- are there any more?
