I was just in the lounge on Friday 19th May. It is the best lounge around IMO. I just wish they would park their planes closer to it though. Why don't they? Does anyone have an answer? Going to gates 35 or 42 is one heck of a trek!!

Gate allocation is done by the BAA. Also the A346 will not fit on any of the stands near the clubhouse.

Ok Leezy, but I've seen JAL and others park right next to the lounge with 747s. But nary a Virgin 747. And FLT 4 has been a 747 for quite sometime now. Who do I have to speak to at BAA
The long trek from the lounge to the gates spoils the relaxing factor that the facility is out to accomplish
