Quote: Ryanair today (Tuesday, 23rd May 2006) announced that its Chief Executive, Michael O'Leary will appear naked in Warsaw's busiest street if LOT abolishes its fuel surcharges this month.
The very thought of MOL appearing naked is obscene, but an effective way to catch attention.
I wonder if LOT does drop their fuel surcharges, will he keep to his word?

What else do you expect fro such people ?
And I really like their comments, as if they were the benefactors of humanity.... Why don ' t they talk about the way they treat their passnegers when they cancel flights without any reason ?

send 100 naked girls doing this job
Branson is in no way comparable to this.....Branson IS a businessman.

Why on earth is he making that bet when he knows that he will lose it!?
If he was better looking with a better figure and would have crowds of women mad with lust going completely off their onion I could see the point, but... !!!

I'm afraid he won't find a time for this. O'Leary, I mean. Tomorrow the pope comes to us and will be here almost till June. We can't even buy alcohol for this reason, not to mention run naked on the streets.

I have to admit I am very amused by this, I really hope he does loose this bet because the comic effect alone would be priceless. Instead of walking the streets of downtown Warsaw naked perhaps he could run around a FR 737 naked like that BA crew member did in Italy.

Quoting LTU932 (Reply 1): Four words: It ain't gonna happen! Not even MOL is that crazy. FR is only saying that because MOL is an attention whore, nothing else.
regardless..it works, as FR is very profitable...and expanding..

no one is putting a gun to pax head, people choose to fly FR...they know what they are getting..

like MOL isn't? He's turned FR from a no-name nothing into a very profitable aviation corportation...

Quoting LTU932 (Reply 15): I'm not talking about FR's profitability, but rather how much of an attention whore MOL is. Perhaps he's even worse than SRB in that regard.
MOL symbolises the company..the more attraction he can get, the more attraction FR gets.....

When I was in Poland, you could buy alcohol at every corner store. Please tell me you're just exagerating?

Not to mention, a money pit that even he didn't have hope in, and suggested that it be liquidated. He was offered a great deal, turned the airline around, and becaue of it, made himself a very rich man.
In my opinion, no matter how much of an attention whore he is, he does what is required to make money. Michael O'Leary is a businessman.

MOL an attention whore? You have to be kidding, as the guy is normally quiet and reserved, rarely seeking personal publicity. He will, however, speak out exactly what is on his mind when FR is under attack, and this has often put him in a bad light. But what would you rather - a publicist who always lies or a publicist who is truthful, albeit in a rude way?
Compared to Branson, MOL is an angel in the "attention whore" stakes. Whereas Branson loves a camera thrust at his face or shoved up his ar$e, MOL is the opposite and avoids any camera if possible. Whereas Branson will strive hard to seek attention, often with scantily clad women accompanying him, have you seen MOL arriving on any initial FR flights with an ensemble of Irish Jig Dancers?
Branson will risk his life and that of others to claim a few minutes' fame in his ballooning and similar exploits, always inviting the Press to follow his adventures, whereas the most hazardous thing MOL does in playing rugby with his employees, shielded away from the Press. Does MOL embarrass his hosts in the same way as Branson? Remember the award ceremony hosted by BA when Branson grabbed hold of Ivana Trump against her will, and held the poor woman upside down much to Ivana's and her hosts' embarrassment, simply to grab attention to himself? Branson is simply a whinging "glory" seeker whereas MOL is, at the worst, a big mouth.
