Last time I went spotting here in SLC, N727TW was running a charter flight of some sort here.

Thanks for the fleet summary!

What is AA's plan for the remaining 19 ex TW 752's? To retain them or slowly remove them from service?

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

AA has following 757 lease expiry timetable (From their K-10):
2006: 0
2007: 15
2008: 9
2009: 1

To drop them, it is not worth having a small subfleet of PW 752;s when you have 100 plus RR 752's Also AA does maintenace on its own RR birds at AFW and with PW birds DL does it and it cost money.

Thanks for the responses! I presumed AA was slowly removing the PW 752's.

I flew on these planes between DFW and LAS last July. Quite comfortable and new looking on the inside. Shame when these ex TWA 757s are gone from AA...  Sad

Yea but if you don't get a chance to fly them again, NWA has the same type of 757's......by that I mean with PW motors and the type-2 exits.

IMHO, I prefer the AA 757-223's over the Ex-TWA -231's because the -223's have the usual AA amenities......power ports, Y-class headrests, and from a pilot's standpoint, I prefer the avionics suite on the -223's also.

I have flown the ex-TWA 757s from TPA-STL before. I loved that smaller cabin in the rear of the plane.
