ZK-OKE NZ's latest 772ER had its first rev flight today to SIN as NZ81...
Nice aircraft, lovely new plane smell  Smile
off to a slow start however... drunk pax had to be offloaded...15min delay!

Can't wait for the next 3 772ER's to arrive
hopefully followed by leased 788's and purchased 748I's! Then of course NZ launch airline for 789's!  Smile

you know im quite surprised.

Last time i got on NZ one, they didn't stop serving me until i passed out. Of course, i sat there very well behaved, but, after being stuck inbetween to very very large polynesians i needed something to knock me out, until at least as far as LAX. So it suprises me, because, kiwis, like australians, britions and germans, tend to have a rather tolerant attitude towards alcohol.

was the boy badly behaved?

he must have been obviously drunk if he was off loaded.....i once saw this pommy backpacker who was heavily intoxicated been denied boarding an Osaka 767. Wonder what time he started drinking as the flight was leaving at 12.30pm

Good news about ZK OKE though.

I saw this beautifull shining bird sitting at the gate today. When was the delivery flight? Must have missed it since I was lucky enough to have the whole weekend off.

Why are people assuming that the drunk was male? ZKpilot didn't say so.

Anywho, not the nicest thing for the staff to deal with, regardless of the gender of the person involved. Hope they didn't ruin the new plane smell with booze fumes....  drunk

almost certainly. OKE should have really been in the new scheme, but someone should be fired (seriously!) if OKF doesn't wear the new colours.

LOL great new names lol... aye to fulla.
Would be even better if they named them properly as they did in the old days, like when the Electras flew from Whenuapai... Aotearoa, Akaroa and Atarau.
They named the Friendships as well - the Mk100s anyway delivered during the 1960s... Kuaka, Kotuku, Koweka, Korere, Kahu, Karuwai, Kea, Koropio and Kotare. Beautiful.

What happened to the idea of naming the long haul A/C after Cities like the 747s have been? And having a little blue sticker which no-one can see until you are up close?

The stickers are perfectly visible from the gate lounges of most airports - which is what they were designed for.

I believe the 777s were intended to be named after mountains, but for some reason the idea seems to be have been dropped.

So what are they naming the 777s now? Are they gonna have the stickers?
