ive noticed that UA are promoting two different fonts in their titling, a seriffed one on the aircraft and an unseriffed one in their print ads and TV commercials, why? are they changing to the unserriffed style oe what?has anyone else noticed this too?

The Unseriffed title goes better with that new 3/4 of a logo that they are putting in a lot of their ads and on their products. The seriffed title is probably used for more formal titiling like that in airport lounges and on airplanes obviously, and I doubt we will see any one of them go until UA gets a new livery.

The titles that you see on the planes are the old logos. Those are gone, on most of UA's products execpt their planes. The new U N I T E D logo, is the one that is here to stay. It will get put on the mainline fleet. When, I don't know

So does anyone think that the current logo would be good if used in the new United colour scheme? Although it looks good on coffee cups and silverware and the like, I am not sure that just the plane dark blue and white stylized logo and titling would look good on an aircraft. I think it would make the planes too dull if those were the base colors. I am sure with their marketing budget they should come up with something good, though.

They are not going to revamp United's paint scheme. All they were considering was replacing the United Airlines titling with U N I T E D, they are keeping the red & blue flying U and the stripes and grey and blue, that's not changing.

Some of the "United Shuttle" 737s have the new sans seriff U N I T E D on them. I think UA is painting over the old "Shuttle by United" cartoon letters.
