Delta has a large center with several hangars spread out around ATL. ORD is a maintance base for both AA and UA so i would assume that is rather large.

Isn't it AA's base in TUL? I have heard that their AFW base (with RR) is huge aswell! I'll look for specific data...

AA's TUL maintenance base is much larger, having capacity for MD-80's, 757's and A300's whereas AFW only has 6 bays for the 777/767 fleet.

AFAIK, UA also has maintenance in SFO.

Technically, a "maintenance base" is TUL or AFW for AA's operations.

That's why we're here.

I would put in a vote for Tinker AFB.

UA's MOC in SFO used to be the largest, but even thta wasn't large enough for UA's needs byu the 80s when IND was built. Now IND is empty, and SFO donwsized. No idea who is largest now.

Now IND is empty

Actually its quite active. Just not UA. Other airlines/groups have leased the bays.

Indy = Indianapolis and not Independence Air

It is most definitely AA's base in TUL, which, IINM, is also the single largest civil aviation maintenance overhaul facility in the world. Could be wrong about the world -- but I'm pretty sure about within the U.S.

The world's largest general aviation service center is in Wichita, Kansas.

Cessna's Wichita Citation service center is 443,000 sq ft and can house 100 Citations at at time.
