Air Madrid's current A340-300 came from Air France but I don't think they are phasing any more A340-300s out of their fleet. Any ideas if Etihad's current A340-300 which will leave the fleet soon could be one of the A340-300s to join Air Madrid's fleet?

Etihad will not phase out it's A340 soon 'cause it is one of their owned and not leased aircrafts and in these days it will get a complete new interior!
A340's as well as the A330's are absolutely rare on the actual market. So it is very difficult to get or lease one.
As DutchJet wrote, "it´s only rumors" that LH to get 773ER....and there´s lot of that inhere!
This is true.......the LH and 773ER thing is simply (very interesting) rumors, and even if true, it would be years until LH would be selling off any A343s.
What about AC? AC will start phasing out their A343s as 777s are delivered? Virgin is another possibility - some A343s could be excess as A346s are delivered. And, its possible that AF may have an excess A343 or two as it begins 773ERs and A380s join the fleet. All possibilities.
