as I have posted in another thread before, I applied for the Fréquence Plus program some 6 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything from Air France at all.
Please, does anybody know, if I will ever receive something before my first flight with them or will they just add the miles to my account (which I might have or not-who knows ...) after the flight and send me the card after the flight ??????
Shouldn't I receive anything written like more information or how to redeem my miles, ... ??? What are your experiences ????
I don't even know if my application got to them but it looks like AF doesn't care. I sent faxes to Air France in Germany. I also tried to fax to Paris but that doesn't work for some weird reason. Anybody has an AF email adress ???
Those people from AF in Germany haven't replied to 3 faxes at all.
The folks at the ticket counter at the airport just said :"Probably takes a while".
What the **** is going on ??? Do they seriously call that customer service ????????
So far, I am very disappointed with this new experience.

Take it easy, it took AF about two months before I got my Frequence Plus account. You can use the preliminary number from your application form to redeem your miles if you haven't received your full membership in time.
To my mind, Frequence Plus offers pretty good information to its members. You"ll get quarterly newsletters and sometimes special bonus offers or information, e.g. about Skyteam.
Homer: Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!

But since I don't have the chance to take another airline this time ...

as my user name indicates, I have elite status with Frequence Plus (F+) and I have to say that it is one of the most attractive Frequent Traveller Programs. Since November 1998 I have collected about half a dozen "billets prime" within Europe. In fact, with F+ Rouge status I pay only 4 out of 5 return tickets within Europe.
Personally, I applied for this program after my first flight with AF. You get your miles credited up to six months after your trip by faxing your passenger receipt or even better your boarding pass to F+. In addition, you get 3,000 bonus miles for your first AF-trip. To apply take the paper in the board magazine.
You have a free intra-European flight for 20,000 miles, an upgrade for 10,000 miles.
Very good, too: You can consult your account on their web pages www.airfrance.fr/.de or .com where your miles are credited very soon (a few days) after your trip. This makes sure that you are always up to date.

Don not worry about your card or your account. If Gremany is taking its time to reply it is probably because they are looking at all the information or tracing your application before making any comments without holding the right informatiom. Good customer service is also about replying with the right answer !
Yet, send me your card number you had on the application form and I will try to look for you if the computer is recognizing you.
It takes sometimes to send the cards particularly now that the program offers lifelong miles !!! AF is the only european carrier to offer "eternal" miles as long as you travel with SkyTEAM. There are more people who are applying. Then there is also the mail and process time and even loss in mail or miss-direction because of a missprint.
