Well today alone two different WWII planes have flown over my house over 15 times. I keep attempting to take a picture, but it's always too far away by the time I'm ready to snap the shot. This has been going on since Friday. Anyone know if there's an airshow or something?

Thanks!
Aaron

It's the Collings Foundation "Wings of Freedom" summer west coast tour: http://www.collingsfoundation.org/cf_schedule-wof.htm

I've tried to take photos too, and been stymied by the trees and hills (I'm in Los Gatos this weekend.) I can sure hear 'em coming, though!

Thanks Maury! Yea I'm in the hills as well, they come pretty low but I can't seem to get a decent picture.

The -25 just came over from the south, meaning i heard it before I could see it...ran out, knocking the off-track screen door askew, looked up, and all I could see was a hummingbird. Ah...then an old 'plane.  Smile

They're leaving tomorrow, so get 'em while they're up this afternoon.

yea, they continue to come over the house, head out to the ocean and turn south. the one that i see most is a b-25. ive seen the b-17 a couple times too. Still though too fast for a picture.

They have been flying in and out of Moffett (KNUQ) for the past several days (since 5/31). I drove past there several times on Saturday and Sunday and saw them on approach. They also seemed to do patterns over my house (I-280 and I-85) quite regularly, which is normal for Moffett traffic. Amazing WWII airplanes!

Hopefully the spotters that I saw at the end of 32L/R will post some nice pics.

Spotters? Why not just walk right up to the planes. I've got a great one of me at the rear left .50 cal.

You can even take a flight in them if ya' like, but the prices are pretty far up there.
