Royal Dutch Airline, KLM, would offer services into Tanzania on Boeing 777s, which should help boost the East Africa country's tourism.
The Boeing, which can carry over 300 passangers, landed at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) last week for the first time, from Amsterdam, The Netherlands..........

Isn't KIA - Kaiapit, Papua New Guinea? JRO is Kiliminjaro Int'l Airport.

Is the routing still AMS-JRO-DAR-AMS? I took this flight back in September of 2004 when it was a 767--it's a great way to get to northern Tanzania from Europe or, in my case, North America. For what it's worth, I believe they have also operated the MD-11 on this route from time to time in the past. Hope I can try it on the 777 someday--I'd love to go back!

Yes. The routiong is the same. I took flew on the MD-11 when it was in service. Still beats BA in terms of service and quality.

The B772ER currently deployed on the AMS-JRO-DAR-AMS route is temporarily switched with the one from the AMS-DEL route, which is now operating with MD11. In the winter schedule JRO-DAR will revert to MD11 and DEL will once again see the B772ER.
