Today I observed the first actual Sun Country 737-800 I have seen with winglets, approaching MSP from the southeast. I know for the past 2 winters they have operated several winter lease Transavia 737-800 in the Transavia colors but with a blue Sun Country logo tail, with winglets while the Sun Country liveried a/c continued on with the standard straight wing. Can anyone shed light on the timing of re-equipping the Sun Country liveried 737NG with the winglets? Will they all be completed this year? I assume the fuel burn savings must be pretty significant.
