Why did they pick them, and for what?

Delta is very profitable for AF, therefore it was a really good deal. Also Air France's teamates are attepting to team up with them.

Delta would also make sense since some of it already shares partners with Air France such as Malev. If the alliance was not profitable, it would have never happened.

If Air France indeed picked Delta, they muct have been doing it in thier sleep. I have flown both Continental and Delta within the past month. I will have to say that I was very unimpressed with Delta; dirty planes, lack of customer service. On the other hand, I found Continental to be a very pleasing airline. The one complaint I do have is the connecting times, TOO short, I had to run from the Express terminal, on the bus, then high-tail it to the IAB. Air France has something majorly screwed up if they did, indeed, picked Delta. Theres my 2 cents.
