This information was posted on the orders e-mail group. I thought that it may be of some interest to us.

The Aug. 9 report by Wood of Morgan Stanley said Boeing could also benefit
from ``an anticipated 20 747 orders by year's end,'' though she didn't say
whether that's in addition to nine 747 orders already booked or might
include the newest stretched versions. She has a ``strong buy'' rating on

Are these 20 747 orders mainly for the 747-400, or the 747X models?

Well Reuters is saying that Boeing has a $20 Billion dollar order coming from Asia and abroad so maybe this is something worth following.

I anticipate some might be Malaysia Airlines order. MH still holds 3 options on the 744s. Hope this is right.

Go 747!I think SQ might want to get some more 747 aircraft as they have options for a few more.

I would like to hear about new 747 orders soon. While 747F sales are quite high, passenger planes were rarely ordered in the last two years.

Of course the A3XX-launch is the major reason for it, but now that the airlines know what´s coming there should be some demand very soon.

SIA, Northwest, Malaysia, JAL, ANA, Thai and maybe United, Air China, Korean Air, Ansett and Qantas are on my list.
